White is a Color

After the excesses of the holidays, I always like to start January with white flowers. They seem to clean the palette and prepare us for the colors to come in the new year. It reminds me of an essay by G.K. Chesterton, "A Piece of Chalk", in which he writes that white is actually a color. "It is not a mere absence of color; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black." Because we have been closed and are getting a bit of a late start to January, I have added in a bit of other colors, but feel free to come by and just get white!
