Our latest feature on Style Me Pretty was a Texas meets Scotland affair. Aly, a native Texan, married David, a native of Scotland and the details came together from there.
With the ceremony scheduled to take place in the courtyard of the Hoffman Haus, thunderstorms threatened to put a damper on the festivities. However, the showers broke just in time for Aly to walk down the aisle to a quartet playing "Here Comes the Sun." To fulfill Aly's desire for the courtyard to be filled with flowers, vases hung from the trees filled with red, yellow and orange flowers.
David wanted all male attendants and guests to have a flower to wear, so a tray of thistle boutonnieres in honor of his Scottish heritage were provided.
With Aly's brother being a chef, he offered to prepare the meal which was served family style. The serving dishes were interspersed with vintage apothecary bottles of flowers, olive trees and fruit with a red pear at each place setting.
And probably my favorite shot of the evening was this little guy.
