Last October Gresham and Stephen hosted friends and family for a weekend of wedding festivities in what Gresham calls her "happy place"—the island of Nantucket. She wanted the style of the wedding to reflect the fresh and elegant simplicity of the island. And since I am also family, I was lucky enough to provide the florals. Mark Crosby of Zofia & Co. captured the day beautifully. One of my favorite images is this one as she takes in the moment of her dreams.
The ceremony was held in the beautiful Siasconset Union Chapel and these images say it all!
On their way to the reception, the wedding party—all siblings—took the opportunity to visit some of the most picturesque spots on the island...
As the guests arrived at The Galley Beach for cocktails in the sand and the reception under a beautiful Sperry tent with the crowd later spilling onto the beach for dancing under the stars.
As a wedding gift Gresham's parents asked local artist Paul Galschneider to capture the couples' first dance. Centerpieces included garden roses in all shades of coral along with rugosa roses gathered along the beach with each table named for places meaningful to Stephen and Gresham.
The entire day was indeed magical and all the pieces came together thanks to the incredible team headed by Maureen Maher of Nantucket Island Events.
More images and the story behind Gresham's design inspiration can be found in this feature on Classic Bride. Congratulations to you two!!!
